WHAT IS HAVEN?
Haven Philly is the first, black owned board game rental service in Philadelphia. Our games do not like sitting on a shelf! They are available for our customers to enjoy at home. Board games are great for spending quality time with the family, date night with your partner or having a competitive game night with your friends.
HOW DO BOARD GAME RENTALS WORK?
Customers can choose to rent games for up to five days. Simply select your games, delivery date and time and we’ll bring the games to you. Deliveries are currently available to West Philly only. Customers that live outside of the delivery area can choose to pick up game rental at Thirsty Dice, 17th & Fairmount Ave Philadelphia, PA 19130.
HOW LONG CAN I RENT THE GAMES?
Board games can be rented for a maximum of five days. Customers will be charged for a rent once the game is returned and checked for game components. If a game is not returned after five days, without requesting an extension, the cost of the game plus a fee will be invoiced.
DO YOU OFFER SUBSCRIPTIONS?
We do not currently offer a subscription service…yet! Stay tuned.
ARE YOUR GAMES SAFE TO PLAY?
The safety of our customers is one of our highest priorities. Every game will be effectively sanitized, disinfected, and fully inspected before delivery and after pick up. Games included in our inventory have components that are able to be disinfected through spray, wipe, and soak sanitizing solutions.
If you or anyone in your household are feeling unwell and are exhibiting symptoms related to COVID-19 (Coronavirus, flu, common cold) we kindly request that you do not utilize this service at this point in time in an effort to contain the spread of the virus.
WHAT MEASURES ARE IN PLACE TO PREVENT COVID?
Haven Philly takes precautionary measures by washing hands and changing out disposable latex gloves in between handling and sanitizing games and we are following all guidelines outlined the Center for Disease Control (CDC) on their website in regards to sanitizing inanimate objects and surfaces. HOW FAR DO YOU DELIVER?
We deliver and pick up games to addresses in zip codes 19139, 19143 or 19104, We do not charge a delivery fee. Are you farther away and interested in renting games? Feel free to place your order at www.havenphilly.com and pick up your games at our partner store Thirsty Dice 17th & Fairmount Ave Philadelphia, PA 19130.
WHAT ARE THE DELIVERY / RETURN PROCEDURES?
If you had the games delivered, there are three time slots for us to pick up the games from you. 10am-12pm, 2pm-4pm, 6pm-8pm. Please do not leave the games outside unless you have access to an enclosed porch. We will use the contact information provided to determine pick up time. If we are not able to reach you, you will be charged $5.00 for an additional day.
IF I REALLY LIKE THE GAME, CAN I BUY IT?
Haven Philly is a board game rental service. We will note on the game page whether the game is available for purchase at our partner site, Thirsty Dice.
IF I’M HAVING FUN PLAYING THE GAME(S), CAN I RENT THEM FOR LONGER?
Definitely! If you wish to extend your rental period, it is an additional $5.00 per day per game, which will be charged to your cart upon return of the game. If you want to extend your rental, please contact us at 267-223-5366 or email email@example.com to request extension. A maximum of 7 days is allowed for consecutive day rental. You will be informed if an extension is possible.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I DON’T RETURN MY GAME AT THE END OF MY RENTAL PERIOD?
If you miss your return pick up date and time and do not contact us regarding extending your rental period, you will be charged a late fee of $5.00 per game, per day that it is late or we are unable to reach you for a pick up. After 3 days, if we are still unable to get a hold of you, your card will be charged the full MSRP of the game(s) to replace, including any late fees accrued. WHAT IF MY GAME IS MISSING PIECES OR UNPLAYABLE WHEN I RECEIVE IT?
While our team checks every game before it goes out for delivery, if you find that you are missing pieces or rules, making the game unplayable, please give us a call at 267-223-5366 and we would be happy to drop off a replacement game, or give you a credit for your next rental.
WHAT IF THE GAME GETS DAMAGED DURING MY RENTAL PERIOD?
If the game is damaged in any way during your rental period, you will be responsible for the full MSRP cost of replacing the game. This includes, but is not limited to, damage by: Fire, Water/Liquids/Bodily Fluids, Human or Animal Damages, Lost Pieces or Components.
